    Recording Methods for Sessions

    You can record Video and Chat during Collaborate sessions. Furthermore, videos can be watched in two ways as follows:

    1. Watch directly on Collaborate
      You can watch without downloading, and it‘s not possible for individuals to save videos
    2. Download recorded videos and place them in a different location
      You can download and save videos in MP4 format to watch offline

    * Please note that depending on the recording settings and the system used, there might be differences in the operability and functions, such as the ability to record annotations made during a session. For example, Windows 11 and Mac's latest operating system Echo360 are compatible with these functions.

    Selection of Session Recording Method

    •  Whether to allow students to download the video is set in the 'Session Settings' screen before starting the session.
    • If you check 'Allow recording downloads', students will be able to download the session recordings.
      * Instructors can download recordings at any time, as of the update on June 17, 2023.

    【Attention】

    The start and end of session recording is performed on the session screen described next.

    * Checking the box does not automatically start the recording.

    Start of Session Recording

    1. The operations for starting and ending session recording are performed on the session screen.

    2. Clicking on [Start Recording] in the [Session] menu will start the recording.

    3. Clicking on [Stop Recording] in the [Session] menu will start the recording.
      * Since anyone who is a moderator can start and stop the recording, be careful not to stop it accidentally.

    Viewing Recorded Videos

    1. Click on the […] next to Class Collaborate. Then click on [View all recordings]. 

    2. Select the details menu of the session you want to watch. 
    3. ① Watch directly on Collaborate
      Click [Watch now] to play.

      ② Download recorded videos

      If you had checked [Allow recording downloads] when recording the session, a [Download] option will be added to the [Recording Options] menu, allowing you to download in mp4 format.

    Downloading Recorded Chat History

    1. Click on the […] next to Class Collaborate. Then click on [View all recordings]. 

    2. Select the details menu of the session you want to watch. 
    3. Click [Watch now]


    4. Click the 'Menu Icon'.

    5. Click the 'Menu Icon' allows you to download as a text file.
