Create a Discussion Board Topic
The discussion board can be used for exchanging opinions between instructors and students, or among students themselves.
You can create various forums depending on your purpose—such as Q&A, idea sharing, and discussion logs—so please make full use of the discussion board.
By default, the name of the user who posted will be displayed.
However, if the instructor has enabled “Allow anonymous posts,” students can post anonymously only when they check “Post anonymously” after entering their content.
In such cases, student names will not be displayed in the participant list either.
How to Create a Discussion Board
- Click [Discussion Board] at the top of the page.
- Click [New Discussion Board].
- Enter the discussion board title.
- Enter the topic, then click [Save]. Participant names will be displayed.
- If needed, click the gear icon to change the settings.
※ Anonymous posting is only available if the instructor has enabled “Allow anonymous posts” and the poster checks “Post anonymously.” When this setting is enabled, student names will not appear in the participant list.
- Once all settings are complete, set the board to [Visible to Students].
- To restrict access, click [Release Conditions] to configure settings.
