In CLE, you can integrate “Assignments” with Turnitin (※).
※ Turnitin: A service for plagiarism detection and AI writing detection.
This integration is available as a trial only during the Spring and Summer Semesters of the 2025 academic year. Future availability is currently undecided. If continued use is approved, we will inform you.
Steps to Create an Assignment with Turnitin:
- From the course menu, click [Content].
- Click [+] and then select [Create].
- Choose "Test" or "Assignment".
- Enter a title for the assignment.
(Each assignment creates a new column in the Gradebook. Please keep the title concise and distinct from other assignments.) - From the sidebar that appears, select “Enable Turnitin.”
- Go to Assignment Settings > Originality Report > Enable Turnitin.
- Configure the settings according to the Turnitin settings panel, then click Save.
- Confirm that the Turnitin settings have been saved.
- In the assignment settings, check that Originality Report > Turnitin is enabled is displayed.
- Save the test/assignment. Your assignment with Turnitin enabled is now created.
※ Students will also be able to see that Turnitin is enabled.
Important Notes
Turnitin detects plagiarism and AI-generated content only for assignments submitted as text or containing text.
PDFs without selectable text (e.g., scanned handwritten reports) will not be accepted. In such cases, do not enable Turnitin for the assignment.
