【Discussion Boards and Journals】
A dedicated “Description” field has been added to discussion boards and journals, aligning their functionality with other course content such as folders, learning modules, and documents. Students can review the description in the course content before opening a discussion board or journal.
【Rubrics】
Rubric reports can now be downloaded from the gradebook for gradable activities with rubrics. To download a report, the grading results must be posted.
【Messages】
When you create a new message and add recipients, existing threads with those participants are now displayed automatically. For long threads, you can scroll or select the “View previous messages” link to load the entire history.
-
Display existing threads when adding recipients
When you select recipients while creating a new message, existing threads with those participants are loaded automatically, allowing you to continue the conversation. If no applicable thread exists, a new thread is started. -
Single-thread view
Messages exchanged between the same participants are grouped and displayed as one continuous thread, similar to a messaging app. -
View past messages
When a thread is long, past messages are displayed within the same thread when you select the “View previous messages” link.
【Switch Courses】
An “Favorites” tab has been added to the course switching feature, displaying courses marked as favorites on the Courses page in the base navigation.
【Other Improvements】
Course content is now read-only in completed Original courses. After a course is marked as complete, instructors can no longer create, edit, or delete content.
